Esperanza) is a unique residential care facility for individuals with
severe mental and physical challenges. When parents of a child
with special needs can no longer provide care in their own home,
they discover that the alternatives are quite limited and often
alarmingly institutional.

When former nurse Rose McGarrigle opened the doors of Hope
House, she responded to the desperate need for a better solution-
one that would be home-like and joyful, comfortable and happy.
Committed to this worthy calling for nearly four decades, Rose
and her staff have transformed a sprawling country house into an
inviting and virtually unparalleled environment that is gladly called
home today by 40 cherished residents. For these people and their
