The only fundraiser that we have is our Car Donation Program. All of the money that is received from our car donation auction is used to care for our children as well as the needs of the facility.

Information

Hope House has a contract with Metro Auto Auction in Austin, Texas and a contract with Texan Towing. The estimated cost per vehicle is $150 to include auction and towing (towing may vary if the vehicle is picked up out of town). When a vehicle is pledged, a Hope House Car Donation Program employee takes the donor information over the telephone, handles all the documents, vehicle pick up, and mails tax receipts. Metro Auto Auction manages the auction and transfer of title with the appropriate agency. All vehicles are in the auction with one exception. If the vehicle can be used by Hope House for the needs of the children, then Hope House has the option of retaining the vehicle. Any vehicle used by Hope House that transports children has to be thoroughly inspected to meet safety standards.
