Since it’s inception over 40 years ago, Hope House’s goal has always been to provide unsurpassed care and love for its residents, truly the least of these. In a nurturing, homelike environment, those with profound mental and physical handicaps have been tenderly cared for by compassionate care takers.
Our residents come to know and love their surroundings at Hope House, so it became a natural extension to create a cross over facility, where children who have lived with us in our hearts and home for years may stay under the same roof, rather than being forced out simply because they have turned 21 years of age. They continue to be able to enjoy the same benefits they had when they were children lovingly entrusted to our care.
Each of the beautiful souls that lives with us is encouraged to find their own path to the highest quality of life they can achieve. Their physical needs are tended to until they can be taught how to accomplish them on their own. The teaching is done patiently, letting the learner set the pace, with a continual support from the environment.
Hope House is a magical organization that stands on the shoulders of giants. We strive into the future by constant reevaluation of practices and procedures, treatment modalities and community building.
